About the Studio.
Behind the type.
The name is accurate. Loneman Type Studio is a one-man studio. It’s the passion project of Jimmy Rosen, a multidisciplinary designer and design director based in Boulder Colorado. He’s currently a design director at the creative agency WorkInProgress. And he’s talking about himself in the third person right now because it makes the company seem way more legit. Why we do it.
Every designer knows the designer equivalent of doom scrolling: endlessly looking for the perfect font. At some point, it became a better use of time to just make the font we needed. And that’s how this started. If we find them useful, hopefully you will too.
What else we do.
We release fonts as we make them because we enjoy doing it. There are no rules or stakeholders, and even if the font sucks we can release it if we like it. On the other hand, we also love a good brief. If you like our style and need a custom font made, we can get that done for you. Hit us up.
